Masterclass Oostenburg
Monday, December 11, 2023, AHAM hosted the Oostenburg Masterclass, delving into the distinctive allure of this location alongside key development figures. Supervisor Kristiaan Borret, urban planner Tess Broekmans, architect Bastiaan Jongerius, city psychologist Sander van der Ham, and developer Sylvester Snijder unveiled the secrets of Amsterdam's latest central development.
Against the backdrop of the VOC wharf’s streetlights, the Masterclass commenced at the Inntel Hotel on Oostenburg, drawing a diverse audience of residents, students, developers, architects, urban planners, and supporters. The program comprised two main segments: a crash course featuring concise presentations followed by a table discussion. Moderator Nienke de la Rive-Box seamlessly wove together the diverse elements into a cohesive narrative. Audience queries found a place in the Q&A session at the conclusion of the table discussion. The evening concluded with a reception, providing a platform for the one hundred attendees to engage in further dialogues. AHAM extends heartfelt thanks to all participants and organizations whose contributions led to the success of this event.
