AHAM Vastgoed
AHAM Vastgoed makes Amsterdam (and the rest of the world) more beautiful, sustainable and livable. We do this by focusing on development. Of beautiful buildings with potential, our employees and more than 2,600 homes, shops, offices and business complexes for hire.
Our origins
Starting in 1906, our founder Mr. Schopman and his sons worked on a real estate portfolio with Amsterdam as their home base and starting point. The values that belong to a family business are still anchored in our organization: a long-term view, continuous innovation and commitment to the people we work with.
Our philosophy
We believe that sincere attention makes everything better. We hope to be able to provide a counterbalance to a very fast real estate market by focusing on quality and everything that is required for it; such as a pleasant working atmosphere and personal development. Furthermore, we all have a slight obsession with real estate development; it makes our hearts beat faster.
“We believe that sincere attention makes everything more beautiful.”
Our culture
We work hard. This is because our quality standards and our ambitions are sky-high. At the same time, we’re mindful of each other, like to have fun, and regularly go out together. To celebrate success or to be inspired by the architecture biennale, for example. Twice a year we organize our property tour : a bicycle tour with our employees along our most interesting real estate. Many employees and customers keep a clear space in their calendars when planning their vacations. And speaking of bicycles…our bicycle fleet is larger than our car park. And we would like to keep it that way.
Real estate with a heart
Our motto is ‘real estate with a heart’. This means that we not only responsibly manage our existing real estate portfolio and lovingly transform existing properties; our work also improves the world far beyond Amsterdam. AHAM Vastgoed is fully owned by the Saint Antonius Foundation. One hundred percent of the profits we distribute are used by them to support numerous social projects in sub-Saharan African countries.
